You'll have to remove data from it. If there are pics, thats probably why its so big. Remove them or re-add them as JPEGS instead of BMPS.
Use a PDF Pro, without the pdf pro, you could not change the size.
With the Pro version, go to the Optimizer, and you can change the size of your file.
Then again you will loss some quality.
That's the only way I know.

I so infrequently ask questions, but when I do they usually deal with software problems, this query follows the same thought. I have a manual (on Firearms usage) which is 270 pages in .pdf. I downloaded the file from the RCMP site in Canada. I would like to be able to copy and paste certain passages in .pdf onto any of these=(.doc, docx, or txt.) I have all the Microsoft Office programs (2007) editions, hence the .docx. My .pdf Reader is Firefox's FoxIt Reader.

So I have intalled this software called 3D Lanscape, and I have designed a garden graphic using this software,and save it which makes the type of file-3D Landscape (*.lnd)

Either you need to have Adobe Acrobat install or Some PDF conversion utility to convert your file into .pdf.
Generally when you install Adobe Acrobat, it adds Adobe PDF printer in print menu which you can use to convert a file into PDF.
Try downloading a pdf converter. I don't think you can just save a file to pdf. You have to ';print'; it to pdf. Try this one, it's free. I use this to submit reports in pdf format.

Make sure that you see the whole image on the screen because you are going to take a snapshot of the whole screen with the ';print screen'; key on your regular keyboard. Make sure you move the mouse away from the image so it does not show when you take the snapshot.
When you press the ';print screen'; key (it is abbreviated as prt scrn and it is located on top of the ';insert'; key in a regular keyboard), what you see on the screen will be saved in your computer's temporary memory.
Open either the word processor or the slide show applications of open office (whatever application you would feel better using). You are going to paste the image into the document by pressing CTRL + V. Use the application's features to crop the image and use the ';save to pdf'; button. This way, you should be able to open the image with Adobe acrobat.

Basicaly I don't know if it my incompetence or if there is something wrong with my computer or printer. This pertains to a job application I need to finish and send today.

You need adope acrobat reader to open the PDF file, you must ensure that you select your printer when you frint as sometimes when you install adobe the printer changes to the Adobe printer which basically saves it as a document.
If you have adobe reader then check it is the latest one.
Failing that get a convertor and convert it to a word document and use microsoft word.

Yesterday my GF came over and i was helping her with a Photo- I scanned it in and was working with it to change it to a jpeg--and we could not get it right- It was changed to a pdf only. How can i modify my default PDF viewer in regard to browsing internet documents? currently set to acrobat?
ive looked through google and so far the solutions i have read havent been working. currently IE7 is unable to open any PDF documents because acrobat is screwing things up for whatever reason. i want to simply change the pdf viewer to ADOBE READER. i was able to quite easily do this with FIREFOX but IE is a different story.
from what ive gathered, i should be going to Control panel/ folder options/ select pdf/ choose advanced/ choose open/ change directory to READER.exe
when i do that, click OK and close all the dialogs it switches the settings back to opening with ACROBAT.

That said, there are a number of tools on the market right now which can do this for you. If you have access to/can get hold of a version of Adobe Acrobat, it would allow you to save out to Rich Text Format, which would retain fonts/layout etc for import into Word. But if the original PDF has been locked, then legally there is not a lot you can do.

Is there any way to unencrypt/remove the password to access a pdf file for free?
I forgot the password to a VERY important file of mine and don't have a backup. I've tried every program I could find using google but most of the have restrictions on how or what they can try. Does anyone know of a program that can decrypt or remove the password of a pdf file that actually works? Or a program that can change an excrypted pdf file into a word document? If you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat, you need to use the Save As option and you can convert it to a photo format.
If you only have the Reader, you might check Save As to see if you still have that option.

If you have Adobe Acrobat, open up the .pdf file. Then go to File %26gt; Save As and then choose the type of format that you'd like to save as in the dropdown menu. (ex// .rtf)
