on microsoft word how do you save a file as a pdf file. i thought u just click save as than change to pdf but that wont do it cause pdf isnt on the list? thanx for the helpSaving as a pdf file?

I use the free Bullzip all the time to do this. It will install a virtual pdf printer so you can convert just about any document from any program into pdf format. You can check it out here: http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info
Click File, then Print. Under the Printer drop-down list there choose Adobe PDF. Then click OK.

I am using it for the last 3 years and it is pretty good. Also it's free.
After you install and restart microsoft word, go to the print menu (ctrl + P), select doPDF as your printer and then click ok. The conversion will start and you will be asked to select the name and the location of your new pdf file.
