How can we possibly get to where we need to be in order to protect our oceans and feed a world dependent on its oceans for survival?
http://www.jointoceancommission.org/newsHave we been neglecting our oceans and ignoring the growing threats from climate change and pollution?
Tell us about Socialism Jim Z..you probably do not even know the meaning. It makes me absolutly sick that some people think like that guy.Have we been neglecting our oceans and ignoring the growing threats from climate change and pollution?
Mark, the use of the word salvation here was yours, but was appropo. Salvation of the planet means that humankind needs to treat the resources with the respect they deserve. Whether created by God or other forces, those resources do nurture and sustain.
The mirror crack was way out of line.

Pollution yes, ';climate change'; no.
Ocean temps have been declining since 2003.
But air temps have been decreasing since 2005 - meaning it's not just a matter of the oceans ';releasing their heat into the air.';
See, because for political reasons you won't let go of the bogus issue, nobody bothers with the legitimate issue, ocean pollution.
I haven't been ignoring it. In fact I make my living cleaning up the environment. The best way to feed a hungry world is to stamp out socialism and embrace freedom, that is if you are really interested in feeding a hungry world. Fighting climate change propaganda is necessary to prevent socialism from regaining momentum. The best thing we can do for a New Year is not to buy into the nonsense from the left and fight their failed policies where ever and when ever they metastasize.
Yes we have. The best you as an individual can do is stay informed, ask the questions that need to be asked, Direct your concern to your representatives in government, think globally and act locally. Grow food, recycle, vote, and try and raise awareness in your neighborhood.
yup. its just take, take take.
they seem so vast, its easy to see how many people would think puny man (sic) could not damage them! but only have to look at the history of whaling, the collapse (and non-recovery) of the newfoundland cod, the huge dead zones spreading out from polluted estuaries, more every year, to see thats not so.
Move over environmental rapists!
The NEW generation are coming...
we are peace loving, KIND, caring
and passionate about our sustainable future - the Earth
and every living thing
(that includes oceans...)
No.
We can pollute local areas, but couldn't pollute the entire ocean if we tried.
Wow, Gillian sounds like the first who's quoted from the actual Eco-bible.
How are you feeding the poor? Fighting for the unborn humans who are tortured to death? Its easy to point at others and call them self indulged I would suggest looking in the mirror and realizing that salvation is not in the oceans but in truth which you have abandoned for a lie.
