How do you change file zip to pdf?

I downloaded a piano sheet. The file was zip. I open it and it went to microsoft word. But when it opened in ms, it was bunch of symbols. Can you help me? I really want to play this piece.How do you change file zip to pdf?
I would try uploading the file to google documents. It will convert it and it might come out readable. You can also save it as a pdf from google docs.

a zip file is a form of compression, right click on the zip file, scroll to Open With, and select Compressed (zipped) Folders. A new window should come up showing the document you're trying to open. Copy the file from that window to where you want to save it to and the file should open correctly.
is it possible that that file is corrupted ??

i mean , how can we just change TYPE of file for which it is meant to be ?? if we just rename .DOC file to .PDF , it will not get converted in to pdf itself right ?? then how can u do same with zip ???

if u think the file u downloaded is not not zip but pdf .. then simple rename it with extension of PDF .... !!!
