How do I change a word document to a pdf or sendable file?

I am having difficulty sending my resume or other documents like letters of intent, and even the applications to prospective employers, How do I do that?How do I change a word document to a pdf or sendable file?
Try CutePDF. It installs itself as a printer, so from any program that you can print from, you just select it instead of you're regular printer. It then just asks you where you want the PDF file saved.

You can download it here:

http://www.cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/

From the left-hand side of the page, first install the ';Free Converter';, then install from the link labeled ';Free Download';.

Any business that can not figure out how to open a Word document is not much of a business. Try to save it as an 2003 or earlier Word version in case they do not have the latest version and lack the intelligrence to install the free ';Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 file formats';

If I sent a prospective employee a Word document and they could not figure out how to open it I would look elswhere.

PDF Conversion:

Use PrimoPDF or CutePDF Writer with Microsoft Word. Another option is OpenOffice (free). It can read Word files and save as a PDF file.

You might also save it as an RTF file or a TXT file. These both open with Wordpad a Windows core compoent.
