How to change a 'pdf.' file into a 'doc.' file?

I have a resume- but the way it is set up, it will only open in Adobe as a pdf file. I am applying online and a lot of the sites I am applying on only want the resumes in doc. for (to be opened by Microsoft office). rename the file and put .doc at the end or you could right click open with go into word then resave it.
