How to change a PDF file?

I am self publishing a book. I now have the book in PDF form only. I want to make a few changes to correct some mistakes. There is text and charts/tables. How do I do this without spending too much money? Should I buy some software that can help me? Which would be the best one? Shoudl I hire someone to make theses changes? How to change a PDF file?
If your knowledge of Microsoft word is good specially formatting documents, inserting tables etc than you can convert the pdf file to doc %26amp; edit it. You can do it by Abbyfine reader or omnipage you can change pdf to doc but problem is this that you loose the format to some extent so in word it's formatting is required. How to change a PDF file?
You can bring the pdf into illustrator and change it-- or, depending on the level of changes, you may want to try software from Quite.com, or enfocus.com Both have tools for modifying pdf's in varioius forms. Good Luck
try saving the document in another format...

how?

open the document, put save as... and you can save it as a word document, a text document etc... there are several options where it says ';PDF*'; when you save it
You might want to try a program from DataViz called ';MacLink Plus';. I just did this for the first time, myself. I saved a Wikipedia page as a ';.pdf';, and then used MacLink Plus v16 to convert that document to a Microsoft Word file. It seemed to do well ... all of the document formatting, including text size, was translated, with the exception that none of the original graphic images from the Wikipedia article appear in the new conversion. Remember, this is the first time I have converted a ';.pdf'; to another format/file type. You can read about MacLink Plus at the following page:

Hope this helps!
