The scanner at work creates .pdf or .tif files. I need a .jpg (or other Microsoft Word compatible file) to import into a Word document (the .tif file doesn't work). How can I change a .pdf image to a .jpg image?
PDF files are designed to be secure, so the only way you'd get around that is to have Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Try to scan in the TIFF format, and then see if you can convert to jpeg in Microsoft Paint using the ';save as'; command and then choosing jpeg under ';file type';. (I'm a photoshop person, but I'm pretty sure this is possible in MS Paint)
